3 Ways to Spark Your Creativity
A great way to relieve stress while suffering a crisis is to try out some new artistic endeavors. Letting your creative impulses flourish will help take your mind off of your anxieties.
Here are 3 suggestions to help you get into the creative spirit:
Start a craft project—Making daily progress on a craft project is an excellent way to pass the time and boost your creativity. You can choose from a variety of arts and crafts like needlepoint, drawing, and painting, for example. Photography is an excellent way to get involved with your surroundings. Try taking a picture of the same scene at different times of the day and during different weather patterns. You can have your kids try drawing a daily picture of something new they have seen.
Make some music—This could be a great time to dust off that old piano and start tickling the ivories. Doing an activity that pulls you and the kids away from your screens will help relieve boredom and stress. You can have a fun time with the kids making music with objects you find around the house. Think of zippers zipping, turning pots and pans into a drum set, etc.
Write a short poem—Writing and reading limericks and haiku is an excellent creative outlet. Or try some free form verse to describe the divergent feelings of grief, anxiety, and boredom you may be feeling at any given moment.
